Errybody luvs the HUMMUS.

Seriously, every time I bring this dish with FRESH, COLORFUL, veggies to a party, it is the first to go. I consider it a great compliment and an act of service for the world. lol. 

Super Bowl Hummus

1 onion chopped
5 cloves of garlic chopped
1 1/2 cans Garbanzo beans or about 2 cups
3/4 cup tahini
splash of olive oil
1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp chili powder/ or if you're like me, 1/4 cup siracha
1 tsp salt

Sautee the garlic and onion on medium until the onion is translucent. Let it cool then throw everything in the cuisinart and blend. Blend to your preferred consistency. I prefer a sandy texture, but most people like it blended until creamy.

I buy bell peppers, carrots, celery, jicama, and snap peas and slice them as uniform as possible. Instead of grouping the veggies together with their ilk, I mix them all up and spread on a tray. Put the hummus in a bowl and voila.
